Meet Dr Nick Bennett

_
As a Clinical Director of AAA, Dr Bennett combines medical precision with deep empathy, shaped by years of working with patients who felt overlooked or misunderstood within conventional care pathways.
His experience in both hospital and community settings highlighted the unmet needs of neurodivergent adults—many of whom spent years seeking clarity on their identity and challenges.
Dr Bennett leads on diagnostic assessments using the current gold standard tools, including:
ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition)
ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised)
RAADS-R (Ritvo Autism Asperger Diagnostic Scale – Revised)
ACIA (Autism Clinical Interview for Adults)
As a clinical founder of AAA alongside Dr Tom Milligan, Dr Bennett ensures the service offers more than just a diagnosis - it provides meaningful, person-centred care and comprehensive aftercare, empowering patients long after the assessment process ends.
Dr Bennett’s medical career began after graduating from Hull York Medical School in 2008. He initially trained in surgery, specialising in Orthopaedics and later Plastic Surgery, before transitioning into General Practice to offer broader, more holistic care.
He continues to serve patients across Yorkshire, with clinical interests spanning musculoskeletal medicine, mental health, and neurodiversity.
Passionate about expanding access to alternative, patient-led treatments, Dr Bennett has also worked with medical cannabis providers, offering tailored solutions for individuals seeking different routes to wellness.
“We built Adult Autism Assessments to challenge the status quo—offering timely, respectful, and empowering care to people who deserve answers and understanding. You are warmly welcomed to the AAA Tribe.”
Dr Bennett brings a calm, thoughtful presence to every consultation and remains driven by a simple but powerful goal: helping individuals better understand themselves, and supporting them to thrive.
